The client wanted to create a family space including a much larger kitchen, dining and seating area opening onto the garden. The extension was challenging due to the existing structure, but we managed to come up with a design that worked with the existing complex roof lines, opened up some of the space inside and make a lovely large kitchen and living space with plenty of light. The clients were really happy with the result and it continues to be the new ‘heart of the house’.
Hartwood designed the building and obtained planning permission.
