At present about half of the timber we use is FSC-certified. We are aiming to use even more over the next few years.

We distribute our timber offcuts to staff, friends and customers for their home fires and we give our oak shavings to local meat and fish smokers.

We try to conserve materials wherever possible, returning part-used items to stock for future use rather than consigning them straight to a skip.
